At last our Blessed Lady is happy because there are many in Medjugorje, and now all over the world, who wish to devote themselves to her and to walk with her on the road to holiness.
Our Lady's role on this journey is a special one: she is our Mediatrix through her maternal mediation between her Divine Son and us her adopted children, brothers and sisters of Jesus. This mediation is different from the unique mediation of Jesus Christ between God and men (1 Timothy 2:5-6). The Vatican Council teaches us, quoted by Saint Pope John Paul II in his Encyclical
Redemptoris Mater (No. 38): "The maternal role of Mary towards people in no way obscures or diminishes the unique mediation of Christ, but rather shows its power: it is mediation in Christ."
Could Jesus refuse anything His Mother is asking of Him on our behalf? It all started at Cana! (John 2:1-12).
