In this second message, our Blessed Lady tells us the purpose of her 'school of prayer' through the Thursday Messages:  our conversion, change and transformation.  Our Lady lays before us her heart's desire, the goal of all these 'spiritual exercises' we are going to embark on.  We are called to change, to turn away from everything which destroys the Kingdom of God within ourselves, and to turn to our loving Father through Jesus his Son, to become the 'new creation,' the image of God's Son, through the help of Mary our Mother.

This 'conversion' is not the changing of one religion for another, although many non-Catholics, even non-Christians, find their way to the Catholic Church following their experiences in Medjugorje, but rather it is an on-going conversion of our whole person to Jesus and to a life in Jesus, throughout our whole life, until we are "filled with the utter fullness of God" (Ephesians 3:14-19)

The purpose of our conversion is not just our own sanctification, but above all to become witnesses, so that others may be converted.
