From the mystery of the Cross we learn that we are to be involved as members of Christ's Body in the work of salvation. The Head needs the members of His Body to become channels of saving grace for the peace of the world, and our Blessed Mother wants us to participate in her own mission to the world so that the work of Jesus may be even more effective in us and through us, conquering sin and bringing about His Kingdom of love and peace.
It seems that the world has given itself over to sin. The task ahead is enormous. But all the armour of God we are putting on through prayer, penance and fasting becomes a very powerful instrument in the hands of our Blessed Mother. That is why it is so important to offer ourselves, our prayers and sacrifices at the disposal of our Mother and Queen.
She is the Woman "robed with the sun, standing on the moon, and on her head a crown of twelve stars," leading her "offspring," the Body of Christ the Church, to crush the head of the "ancient serpent," to conquer the power of evil with the power of love. Genesis 3:15; Revelation 12:1-7.
