One of the most important marks of shared prayer is the ability to listen, listen to God speaking to us through His holy word and through others. The last message in this phase leads us to the heart of Our Lady's mission through Medjugorje: She came to teach us how to listen with love, how to pray with love, how to accept crosses with love, how to love God, each other and all mankind, that is, how to become holy because that is the will of God (1 Thessalonians 4:3).
She came to us as the most loving Mother to draw all her children under her protecting mantle, to unite us in the bond of love, interceding continually on our behalf for the gift of the Holy Spirit to effect in us a life of prayer and love.
Once we have recognised that the Blessed Virgin Mary is our dearest Mother who wishes us to become like her Son Jesus, to become one family where she is our Mother, Teacher and Model, we shall discover and experience as a praying community the 'power of shared prayer.'
