The Mystery of the Holy Eucharist is essentially linked up with the mystery of Calvary, Christ's redeeming Sacrifice of the Cross.  In the course of the Thursday Messages, our Blessed Lady is often calling us to pray with her at the foot of the Cross.  Through our contemplation of the wounds and sufferings of Our Redeemer in union with our Sorrowful Mother we come to a deeper understanding of the Holy Mass.  It is also significant that before she asks the faithful to atone with her for the sins of their parish, she asks them and us to gaze at the Sacred Wounds of Jesus to realize what sins have done to Him.  True sorrow follows only when we realize how much we have hurt someone whom we love.
