Need for Unity in Christ's Body the Church
Our deeper understanding of the Holy Mass, through the Mystery of Calvary, in union with our Sorrowful Mother, helps us to realize that the 'Body of Christ,' the community of believers, is often broken because of the sins of disharmony, friction and wrangling. The communal celebration of the Holy Mass implies that the 'Broken Body of Jesus' should be restored. Then the healed Christian community will be a reflection of the 'Glorious Body of Christ,' "singing the praises of God" (1 Peter 2:9). Then the plans of Jesus and Mary, for the glory of the Father, will have a fertile ground, a community "united, heart and soul" (Acts 4:32).
