STARTS THURSDAY 20th MAY 2010
TRANSFORMATION IS GOD’S GIFT THROUGH MARY
(A)THE HALL-MARKS OF “MARIAN HOLINESS OF LIFE”
Weekly message No. 116 (15th May 1986).
6. Change of heart through Mary.
“Dear children! Today I call you to give me your heart so I can change it to be like mine. You are wondering, dear children, why you cannot respond to that which I am seeking from you. You are not able to because you have not given me your heart so I can change it. You are talking but you are not doing. I call on you to do everything that I am telling you. That way I will be with you. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
PRACTICAL:
Renew this week your consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Thursday: God and money: decision for God.
Matthew 6:24.
24No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Friday: God wants to give us a new heart.
Ezekiel 36:26-27.
26A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will take out of your flesh the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances.
Friday: Cf. Ezekiel 37:14.
14And I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land; then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken, and I have done it, says the LORD.
Saturday: Prayer for a clean heart.
Psalm 51 (50):10-11.
10Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. 11Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy holy Spirit from me.
Sunday: Renewed in the spirit, in the uprightness of holiness and truth.
Ephesians 4:23-24.
23And be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
Monday: Learning from Jesus who is “gentle and humble of heart.”
Matthew 11:28-29.
28Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Tuesday: Conversion from the heart.
Joel 2:12-13.
12“Yet even now,” says the LORD, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; 13and rend your hearts and not your garments.” Return to the LORD, your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love, and repents of evil.
Wednesday:
Our Lady is always asking us to do whatever Jesus tells us to do.
John 2:5.
5His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
Wednesday: Cf. Luke 6:46-49.
46“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? 47Every one who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: 48he is like a man building a house, who dug deep, and laid the foundation upon rock; and when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it had been well built. 49But he who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation; against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.”
