STARTS THURSDAY 17th JUNE 2010
TRANSFORMATION IS GOD’S GIFT THROUGH MARY
(B)THE HALL-MARKS OF A LIFE TRANSFORMED THROUGH MARY’S LOVE
Weekly message No. 120 (12th June 1986).
The joy in living the Rosary,
“Dear children! Today I call you to begin to pray the Rosary with a living faith. That way I will be able to help you. You, dear children, wish to obtain graces, but you are not praying. I am not able to help you because you do not want to get started. Dear children, I am calling you to pray the Rosary and that your Rosary be an obligation which you shall fulfil with joy. That way you shall understand the reason I am with you this long. I desire to teach you to pray. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
PRACTICAL:
Sometime during this week pray the Scripture Rosary, or meditate on a scripture text before each decade of the Rosary.
Thursday: Do not profane sacred things.
Matthew 7:6.
6“Do not give dogs what is holy; and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under foot and turn to attack you.”
Thursday: Cf. Proverbs 23:9.
9Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, for he will despise the wisdom of your words.
Friday: Believing and loving Jesus without seeing.
1 Peter 1:8-9.
8Without having seen him you love him; though you do not now see him you believe in him and rejoice with unutterable and exalted joy. 9As the outcome of your faith you obtain the salvation of your souls.
Friday: Cf. John 20:29.
29Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.”
Saturday: Living in Christ through faith.
Galatians 2:20.
20I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Sunday: Being clothed in Christ, being one in Christ.
Galatians 3:25-27.
25But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a custodian; 26for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. 27For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Monday: If we follow the teaching of the Lord, he fills our hearts with joy.
Psalm 16 (15): 7-11.
7I bless the LORD who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me. 8I keep the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 9Therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices; my body also dwells secure. 10For thou dost not give me up to Sheol, or let thy godly one see the Pit. 11Thou dost show me the path of life; in thy presence there is fullness of joy, in thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.
Tuesday: By growing strong in the Lord we are able to resist the devil’s tactics.
Ephesians 6:10-13.
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Wednesday: Following the words of Wisdom.
Proverbs 4:10-14.
10Hear, my son, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many. 11I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the paths of uprightness. 12When you walk, your step will not be hampered; and if you run, you will not stumble. 13Keep hold of instruction, do not let go; guard her, for she is your life. 14Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil men.
Wednesday: Cf. Proverbs 1:8.
8Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and reject not your mother’s teaching;
