Daily Bible Reading in the Homes
"Dear children! Today I ask you to read the Bible in your homes every day. Keep it in a special and visible place, where it will always remind you to read it and to pray. Thank you for responding to my call."

STARTING THURSDAY 16 OCTOBER 2014
1st day: Matthew 5:43-48. (Thursday)
Love of neighbour.
2nd day: Colossians 3:15-17. (Friday)
We are called together in one body, inspired by the Word of Christ, to sing the praises of God. Cf. Ephesians 4:29.
3rd day: 2 Timothy 3:14-17. (Saturday)
The purpose of Holy Scripture is to guide people’s lives to salvation. Cf. 1 Thessalonians 2:13; Joshua 1:8.
4th day: 1 Peter 1:10-12. (Sunday)
The prophets were foretelling the sufferings and glories of Christ. Cf. Isaiah 53.
5th day: Hebrews 4:12-13. (Monday) The power of the word of God.
Cf. 1 Peter 1:23-25. The word of God: seed of life.
6th day: Romans 15:4-6. (Tuesday)
From Scriptures we learn perseverance and encouragement to have hope and to be united for the sake of God’s glory.
7th day: Luke 24:25-27. (Wednesday)
Jesus explains to the disciples from Emmaus the meaning of Scriptures. Cf. Luke 18:31.
SUGGESTION
Set up, if possible, a little shrine in your home with the Holy Bible in the centre.
